Mayor Oh said on Facebook that "under current law, tents installed on roads without local government permission are clearly illegal."

He criticized, "The opposition parties, including the Democratic Party and the Innovation Party for Justice, along with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, installed tents on the roads near Gwanghwamun and the Constitutional Court, citing impeachment rallies as the reason," adding, "The imperialistic ruling party, addicted to impeachment, is now mocking the law and intimidating the Constitutional Court."
Mayor Oh claimed that the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Jongno District Office consulted and that the district office issued two removal warnings, but the opposition did not comply. He described this as "an extremely selfish behavior that disregards public authority and citizens' convenience for partisan interests."
He stated, "If a public party holding an absolute majority of seats commits illegal acts while reigning over public authority in the heart of the city, the result will be a decline in national dignity," and added, "Seoul City will strictly hold the imperialistic ruling party accountable for their illegal and unlawful acts."
