YouTuber Reported for Murder Threat... Continues Activities in Front of Constitutional Court After Bail Denial

Posted Murder Threats Targeting Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyungbae and Unspecified Individuals

A YouTuber in his 40s posted murder threats targeting Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyung-bae of the Constitutional Court and unspecified others, leading to a police report, but he is reportedly still continuing his activities in front of the Constitutional Court.

According to the police on the 15th, reports were received the previous day at the Seoul Western Police Station and others regarding threatening posts about killing Acting Chief Justice Moon and unspecified individuals.

The person who posted the messages is a YouTuber in his 40s, identified as Mr. A. In the information section of his YouTube channel, he wrote, "I will fight with my life to restore President Yoon Seok-yeol to his duties," and "Once our Yoonka (President Yoon) returns to office, my role will be over. If that does not happen, I will kill some people and commit self-immolation."

On the 13th, he also posted a message saying, "When Moon Haeng-bae (Acting Chief Justice Moon) does something strange, I will disguise myself and kill him brutally." This post was captured and spread on online communities.

On the morning of the same day, Mr. A conducted a live broadcast while pacing back and forth in front of the police barricades set up at the main gate of the Constitutional Court.

His YouTube channel mainly features videos of protests near the Constitutional Court and at an apartment presumed to be where Acting Chief Justice Moon resides, arguing for the dismissal of the impeachment trial against President Yoon.

Previously, Mr. A was arrested on the spot on the 23rd of last month on charges of damaging police barricades in front of the Constitutional Court (damage to public property, etc.). The police applied for an arrest warrant, but it was rejected by the court.
