The Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 15th that it will operate the "Children's Agricultural Experience Program with Nature" in connection with Neulbom School until July.
This program is targeted at first and second grade students of Gwangju Hagwoon Elementary School. The program, which began on the 7th, is held every Friday during Neulbom time (after-school hours) from 1:50 PM to 3:20 PM.
The program consists of hands-on, play-based agricultural activities such as "Making Our School's Ecological Map," "Creating a Small Earth Terrarium," "Learning about Climate Change and Insects," and "Making Vegetable Bouquets," allowing students to touch and observe directly.
In particular, this program is expected to provide a systematic educational curriculum tailored to the students' level, as it is led by outstanding instructors selected from the "Agriculture and Rural Experience Program Instructor Training" conducted by the Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center last year.
Kim Sira, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We plan to continuously expand the program so that many students can learn and grow in nature," and added, "We will continue to develop various agriculture and rural experience programs so that students can become familiar with nature and cultivate healthy emotions through agriculture."
