The police are discussing security measures for Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, following threats of assassination.

According to the National Police Agency on the 14th, the police received a request from the Democratic Party to protect Lee's safety and are currently discussing plans. A police official stated, "We are consulting with Lee's side, but nothing has been decided yet."
On the 12th, the Democratic Party revealed that several lawmakers, including the party leadership, received text messages claiming there was a plan to smuggle Russian-made pistols to assassinate Lee.
