Lotte Holdings Signs Agreement with KBO to Host Official Events
Media Day, Awards Ceremonies, and More Scheduled for 2025
Lotte Holdings announced on the 14th that it signed a business agreement with the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to host official KBO League events in 2025 and establish a cooperative system.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Dong-woo, Vice Chairman and CEO of Lotte Holdings, Lim Seong-bok, Head of Communications at Lotte Holdings, KBO Commissioner Heo Gu-yeon, and KBO Secretary General Park Geun-chan.

Under this agreement, both parties decided to hold the four major KBO events of 2025 at Lotte Hotel World. The four major KBO events are the 'Media Day (March)', which announces the league opening; the 'Rookie Draft (September)', where new players are selected; the 'KBO Awards Ceremony (November)', which presents MVP and Rookie of the Year awards; and the 'Golden Glove Awards Ceremony (December)', which selects the best players by position.
Lotte Holdings and the KBO plan to continuously cooperate to expand the fan base and revitalize the league by planning unique attractions for fans. CEO Lee Dong-woo said, "Lotte is a group that has maintained its team name and home base since the inaugural year of professional baseball and has grown alongside Korean professional baseball," adding, "We will continue to spare no effort at the group level to promote the development and revitalization of the KBO League."
