Pohang City and Lotte Department Store Pohang Join Hands to Promote Taboso Taxi Usage

Utilizing Internal and External Promotional Channels of Lotte Department Store Pohang Branch, Promotions to Be Conducted Together

Pohang City and Lotte Department Store Pohang Branch have joined hands to promote the use of the Pohang-style taxi-hailing service, 'Taboso Taxi.'

On the 14th, Pohang City signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the activation of 'Taboso Taxi' at the Yeonoseo Room in City Hall, together with Lotte Department Store Pohang Branch.

At the signing ceremony, which was attended by around 10 officials including Heo Jungwook, Director of Urban Safety and Housing at Pohang City, and Kang Sungcheol, Manager of Lotte Department Store Pohang Branch, both organizations agreed to cooperate for joint promotion and increased use of 'Taboso Taxi.'

Through this agreement, marketing efforts will be launched to raise awareness and usage rates of Taboso Taxi by utilizing both internal and external promotional channels of Lotte Department Store Pohang Branch, and promotions will also be conducted together.

Programs will be prepared to encourage citizen participation by offering various benefits, such as coffee coupons, to customers who use Taboso Taxi when visiting Lotte Department Store.

In addition, efforts will be made to inform citizens visiting the department store of the convenience of Taboso Taxi and to firmly establish it as a public taxi-hailing platform.

Furthermore, starting with this agreement, the two organizations plan to continue their collaboration and plan various events to promote the use of Taboso Taxi, providing benefits to citizens while further strengthening the competitiveness of the public taxi-hailing service.

Heo Jungwook, Director of Urban Safety and Housing, said, "By collaborating with Lotte Department Store, we will carry out effective promotions and marketing so that more citizens can conveniently use Taboso Taxi," and added, "We will spare no effort to promote the use of Taboso Taxi and provide tangible benefits to citizens."

Pohang City is currently strengthening on-site promotions at locations such as Pohang Station to increase the number of Taboso Taxi subscribers, which recently surpassed 20,000, to 50,000 by the end of the year. They are also running a promotion offering up to 20% discount when using automatic payment with the Pohang Love Card.
