The fire burned buildings and spread to nearby mountains due to dry weather and wind. So far, there have been no reported casualties.
The fire department and the Korea Forest Service are conducting firefighting operations using five helicopters and other resources.
Once the fire is extinguished, the fire department and the Korea Forest Service plan to investigate the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
