The renovation targets are old signboards that have been left unattended for a long time due to business closures, raising safety concerns. The district plans to inspect the sites after receiving applications and consent from building owners or managers and then proceed with the renovation.
In particular, this project will conduct a full survey of 648 old signboards installed before 2004, visually inspecting the installation status on-site and selecting advertising materials for removal based on the degree of risk and deterioration.
Accordingly, the district will analyze the results of the full survey of old signboards and the received applications by June and prioritize the removal of signboards with a high risk of accidents. Applications can be submitted at the Namdong-gu Office Urban Design Division and the administrative welfare centers of the signboard locations.
