This information is a forecast of the expected apartment occupancy volume over the next two years based on data as of the end of December last year. It was calculated using housing construction performance data and tenant recruitment announcement information held by the Korea Real Estate Board and Real Estate R114.

According to the forecast, the total number of units expected to be occupied nationwide from this year through next year is predicted to be 465,133 units. By year, the occupancy volume for 2025 was surveyed at 274,360 units. Among these, Gyeonggi Province had the highest number with 71,472 units, followed by Seoul (46,710 units) and Incheon (21,932 units). In the provinces, Gyeongnam had the largest number with 22,224 units.

The nationwide occupancy volume for next year was tallied at 190,773 units. Gyeonggi Province again had the highest number with 61,712 units, followed by Seoul (24,462 units) and Incheon (14,909 units). Among the provinces, Busan is expected to have the largest occupancy volume with 11,870 units scheduled.

The Korea Real Estate Board explained, "The information announced this time reflects verification by local governments nationwide, aggregation based on actual construction start dates for redevelopment projects, and changes such as construction suspensions and schedule adjustments to improve accuracy. However, due to the nature of volume estimation, changes occurring after the reference point may not be reflected."
