The Early Childhood Forest Experience Program allows children to freely play in urban forests and intimately interact with nature through their five senses. Last year, the program received great response with a total of 10,180 participants.
In particular, this year, the newly completed and Korea Forest Service-registered Early Childhood Forest Experience Center in Seongra Park, completed at the end of last year, has begun full operation, enabling children in the Deogyang-gu area to enjoy forest experience opportunities closer to home.
Kindergartens and daycare centers can apply for the regular program through the Goyang City Hall website announcement section by the 18th, and participants will be selected by lottery.
Institutions that do not participate in the regular program and general families can make reservations for the occasional forest experience through separate bookings.
A Goyang Special City official stated, “Including the newly added Seongra Park, we hope that even more children will grow up healthily in nature this year and gain opportunities to appreciate the importance of nature.”
