Hyewoom Appoints 'AI Authority' Professor Seongbae Cho of Yonsei University as Outside Director

Expected to Serve as a Cornerstone for Expanding the Scope of AI Technology

Hyeum announced on the 13th that it has appointed Professor Seongbae Jo, a distinguished professor in the Department of Computer Science at Yonsei University, as an outside director.

New director Seongbae Jo earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from KAIST and has served as a full-time professor at Yonsei University since 1995. He is also recognized as a world-class researcher in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) by the research portal "Guide2Research." Additionally, he has served as the dean of the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at Yonsei University and as president of the AI Society of the Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers. Currently, he is the chair of the Technology Innovation Subcommittee of the National AI Committee.

With the appointment of the new outside director, Hyeum plans to accelerate the expansion and advancement of its financial AI agent business and aims to launch AI agent services within this year.

Seongbae Jo, outside director of Hyeum, said, "I am pleased to join Hyeum, a leader in financial AI agents, and I will do my best to help Hyeum establish itself as a leading AI company."

Hyeum CEO Hyungseok Ok expressed his expectations for Director Jo, saying, "He will play a cornerstone role in promoting Hyeum's AI innovation and securing differentiation, thereby expanding the technological scope."
