The Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency held a personal information disclosure review committee the previous day and decided to disclose Myung's personal information after comprehensively considering the brutality of the crime, the severity of the victim's harm, and the opinions of the victim's family.

Myung submitted a written statement expressing 'no objection' to the committee's decision, and his name, age, and face were immediately disclosed. The personal information will be posted on the Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency's website until the 11th of next month.

According to the Act on the Disclosure of Personal Information of Suspects of Certain Serious Crimes, a five-day grace period must be observed after the committee's decision to disclose personal information. However, if the suspect expresses 'no objection' in writing regarding the disclosure decision, the information can be disclosed immediately.

Myung is suspected of killing Kim Ha-neul with a weapon at an elementary school in Daejeon around 5:50 p.m. on the 10th of last month. The police plan to transfer Myung to the prosecution as early as 10 a.m. today.
