Namyangju City Successfully Concludes March 'Parent Career and Academic Advancement Academy'

In-depth Analysis of the High School Credit System and College Admission Reform
for Designing Children's Future

On the 11th, Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Ju Gwang-deok) held a 'Parent Career and College Admission Academy' for 86 parents of students from 5th grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school at the Jeong Yak-yong Library seminar room.

This academy was organized to provide parents with an opportunity to understand the changing education system and to support students in designing career paths suited to their individual aptitudes.


The lecture was conducted by Namyangju City's education policy advisor and consisted of △in-depth understanding of the high school credit system △analysis of the 2028 college admission reform plan △sharing of excellent cases of subject-specific special notes. Additionally, a Q&A session with parents provided more detailed information, receiving great responses.


One attendee said, "It was beneficial to obtain clear information about the current changes in the education system," and added, "Based on today's lecture, I plan to set career goals together with my child."


Mayor Ju Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, who attended the lecture, stated, "Every youth is a unique and precious being in the world," and said, "We will create an educational environment that serves as a stepping stone to support the dreams of young people."


He continued, "Reflecting the educational philosophy of Jeong Yak-yong, Namyangju City will strive to become an educational city full of learning where future talents can grow and develop."


Meanwhile, the city plans to expand customized educational programs so that students can explore and grow in academics, careers, and talents, and through this, support local students in finding their dreams and effectively responding to the changing educational environment.
