Truck Driver Crushed While Moving Steel Pipes at Imun I-Park Xi Construction Site
At the HDC Hyundai Development Company construction site in Imun-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, a male truck driver in his 30s died after being crushed by construction materials.
According to the Dongdaemun Police Station on the 11th, a report was received around 2:20 PM that a truck driver had been crushed by construction materials at the Imun I-Park Xi construction site.
The worker was found in a state of cardiac arrest and was transported to the hospital but passed away.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and whether safety regulations were followed, as it is believed the driver was moving steel pipes from the truck when the accident occurred.
Imun I-Park Xi is an apartment complex jointly constructed by HDC Hyundai Development Company and GS Construction, and the area where the accident occurred is the section constructed by HDC Hyundai Development Company.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor plans to investigate the construction company for potential violations of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act related to the accident that occurred at the site that day.
