Anseong City Family Center Selected as Implementing Agency
Available for 5,000 KRW per 3 Hours
On the 11th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will implement a 'Medical Accompaniment Service' starting next month to support safe medical service use for single-person households.
This project operates by having professional companions assist single-person households throughout the entire process, from hospital transportation to registration, payment, pharmacy visits, and returning home. To this end, the city selected the Anseong City Family Center as the project executing agency.
Hospital accompaniment uses public transportation such as buses and taxis, and no separate transportation means are provided. The usage fee is 5,000 KRW for 3 hours for residents within the city. Accompaniment to areas outside the city is also possible if necessary.
The city plans to additionally support up to 100,000 KRW per month in actual expenses and 30% of the usage fee for single-person households with a median income of 120% or less within the city when using public transportation.
A city official stated, "We expect this project to alleviate inconveniences for single-person households and create a better health management environment," adding, "We will continue to prepare various support measures for the health and safety of single-person households."
