Completion of Three-Year Program
Jindo County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim Heesu) recently held the 5th Adult Literacy Education Graduation Ceremony at the Jindo Women's Plaza.
According to the county on the 11th, this graduation ceremony was organized to encourage and instill pride in seniors who completed the literacy education course, which is recognized as an elementary school diploma by the Superintendent of Education of Jeollanam-do, in recognition of their efforts.

This year, 38 graduates completed the three-year program held in Cheongnyong-ri, Uisin-myeon, Jisu-ri, Gogeun-myeon, and at the Moran Welfare Center in Jindo-eup.
Governor Kim Heesu expressed in his congratulatory speech, "I express my respect for your hard work in achieving graduation without giving up, driven by your passion for learning over the long span of three years. To repay the seniors who gave up their own learning during difficult times and devoted themselves to their families, Jindo County will make greater efforts to enhance welfare services and convenience for seniors, including expanding various medical support and senior welfare-related job opportunities."
Park Geumrye, Chairperson of the Jindo County Council, said, "I hope you see today's graduation as a new beginning and continue to show your wonderful spirit by challenging yourselves again and again."
Meanwhile, since 2012, Jindo County has operated the 'County Residents Hangul School,' and since 2018, the Adult Literacy Class. Up to this year, a total of 134 people have obtained elementary school diplomas through these programs. The county currently operates 46 Hangul schools and 17 adult literacy classes, providing learning opportunities to a total of 483 seniors.
