Namyangju City Operates Pet Education Program... Realizing a Happy Companion Life

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 11th that it will conduct pet education for citizens at the Pet Adoption Culture Center to help foster a proper understanding of pets and create a responsible pet culture.

This education is designed for citizens who own pets and covers practical topics such as basic pet behavior understanding, pet etiquette, walking methods, grooming, and health care to support a happy coexistence with pets.


The curriculum consists of △ pet hygiene and grooming home care △ pet life cycle education △ dog walking education △ dog DIY special lectures, with professional pet groomers and pet behavior experts participating as instructors, combining practical training and theory.


In particular, this education focuses on providing customized training and essential information to pet owners to reduce the occurrence of abandoned animals and promote responsible adoption through the Pet Adoption Culture Center.


Citizens wishing to participate in the education can apply through the Namyangju City Pet Adoption Culture Center website or the Namyangju City website's integrated reservation system, and registration will close on a first-come, first-served basis if capacity is exceeded. For more details, inquiries can be made to the center.


A Namyangju City official stated, “It is important for citizens to have correct knowledge for a healthy coexistence with pets,” and added, “We will continue to expand pet education programs to contribute to fostering a mature pet culture.”
