Daejeon City Launches Full-Scale Regional Job Creation Support Project

The city of Daejeon announced that it has been selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's "2025 Regional and Industry-tailored Job Creation Support Project" and has secured 2.1 billion KRW in national funding.


The "Regional and Industry-tailored Job Creation Support Project" is a program led by local governments in collaboration with employment-related non-profit organizations and groups, aiming to create customized jobs that reflect the characteristics and industrial environment of each region.


The city plans to invest 2.96 billion KRW to enhance local industrial competitiveness and implement future-oriented job policies that promote mutual prosperity for both companies and workers.


To achieve this, the city will newly introduce the Employment Promotion Support Project for the Health and Welfare Sector this year, and will also push forward with projects such as the Daejeon-type Root Industry Transformation Job Improvement Support Project, the Daejeon Root Industry Worker Safety Net Enhancement Project, the Infrastructure Building Project to Strengthen Employment Competitiveness, and the Daejeon-type Semiconductor Plus Incentive Support Project.


Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon City, stated, "Through this project, we will do our best to create 330 quality jobs and foster an environment where both companies and workers can prosper together."
