On the 12th, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on the 11th that it will consecutively operate Korean pavilions at international agricultural exhibitions held in Vietnam and Thailand on the 12th, and in China on the 17th, focusing on promoting Korea's excellent agricultural machinery and equipment and targeting export markets in the Asian region.

An official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs explained, "The ministry has been supporting participation in overseas exhibitions from 2024 to provide domestic agricultural machinery export companies with opportunities to develop overseas sales channels and expand exports," adding, "March is a period when large-scale international agricultural exhibitions are intensively held, and from the beginning of the year, domestic agricultural machinery companies showed high interest and willingness to participate."

The ministry plans to actively support the participation in exhibitions so that it can lead to actual exports by pre-identifying overseas buyers with high purchase intent and conducting invitation consultations at the exhibition sites.

The "Agricultural Technology Exhibition" held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, will showcase customized agricultural solutions reflecting the demand in the Southeast Asian region. Eighteen domestic agricultural machinery companies will participate to promote their products and expand exports.

The "Asia Livestock Expo" held in Bangkok, Thailand, is Asia's largest livestock specialized exhibition celebrating its 31st edition this year. Twenty-one domestic companies of animal pharmaceuticals, including chemical agents, vaccines, and medical devices, will participate. In particular, VIV ASIA, the organizer, has selected Korea as the country of the year and will intensively promote Korean products through various channels such as seminars, and hold a "Korea Day" event to provide networking opportunities with buyers.

The "International Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibition" held in Shanghai, China, is the world's largest agricultural exhibition with over 2,000 participating companies. Visitors can experience the latest trends in fertilizers and pesticides. The Korean pavilion will be organized mainly by domestic fertilizer and eco-friendly agricultural materials companies to target the Chinese and Asian markets.

In addition, from next month, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs plans to continue supporting the expansion of domestic agricultural machinery exports by holding buyer invitation export consultations, overseas roadshows, and dispatching market development teams.

Kim Jeong-wook, Director of Agricultural Food Innovation Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "We hope that Korean agricultural machinery companies can further expand their export markets through participation in these overseas exhibitions," and added, "We will continue to work with the industry to raise the status of K-agricultural machinery in the global market."
