Gyeonggi Province is recruiting local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) related to robotics to participate in the 'Robot Demonstration Support Project.'
The Gyeonggi Center for Economic and Scientific Advancement announced on the 11th that it will carry out the Robot Demonstration Support Project to support the field application of robots, such as demand-driven demonstration and commercialization, targeting local SMEs that have completed technology development and are in the demonstration stage.
The support target is local companies capable of implementing actual robot services using robots.
Local SMEs can participate as the main research institution independently or form a consortium with joint research institutions. Joint participation with local companies, universities, and research institutes is also possible.
The main research institution must be a robotics company with its main office or registered factory located in Gyeonggi Province and operating a corporate-affiliated research institute or a dedicated research and development department.
The Center will support the selected companies with up to 80 million KRW for expenses such as ▲prototype development costs linked to robots ▲material costs ▲software development costs ▲patent application and registration fees.
Hyun Chang-ha, Standing Director of the Future Division at the Center, emphasized, "Robot technology has social and economic ripple effects that can drive industrial growth and create new value," adding, "We will take the lead in strengthening the technological competitiveness of local companies through support for the development and demonstration of robot technology for the utilization and dissemination of robots across industries."
