Customized Hiking and Walking Tour Program by Age Group
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam will launch the "Suryeohan Trekking Tour," a customized hiking and walking travel program tailored to different age groups, as part of its tourism revitalization project starting in March.
The "Suryeohan Trekking Tour," being introduced for the first time this year, is designed with customized courses for both middle-aged and younger participants, allowing them to experience the natural beauty of Hapcheon, which is known for its many famous mountains. This program will be held a total of 10 times from March to May.
The itinerary for middle-aged participants departs from Seoul and includes a two-day, one-night trip featuring a walk along the Meteorite Impact Crater Circular Trail, a tour of the Okcheon Ancient Tombs, an exploration of the Haeinsa Sound Trail, and a visit to the Tripitaka Koreana Theme Park.
The itinerary for younger participants starts with a climb up Gayasan Mountain, followed by a sunrise hike along the Meteorite Impact Crater Circular Trail, and concludes with a visit to the Okcheon Ancient Tombs.
Applications for participation can be made on the websites of Seungwoo Travel Agency, the dedicated travel agency, and Ojigo Trip. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis starting in March.
Yoo Seongkyung, head of the Tourism Promotion Division, said, "Hapcheon is a region suffering from a severe population decline, so expanding the resident population is essential. Through the 'Suryeohan Trekking Tour,' we will promote stay-type tourism and continue to develop customized travel products that connect various tourist attractions in Hapcheon."
