SK Hynix to Open 'Base Office' at Korea University in Second Half of This Year

A Strategy to Proactively Secure Talent from Korea University

SK Hynix will open a new satellite office at Korea University in the second half of this year.

According to industry sources on the 11th, SK Hynix announced this information to its employees at the 'Together THE Communication Event' held yesterday at the Cheongju campus. SK Hynix, which has campuses in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, and Cheongju, Chungbuk, operates satellite offices to support efficient work without being constrained by physical distance among its members.

Currently, SK Hynix's satellite offices are located at four places: Walkerhill Hotel (Gwangjin-gu, Seoul), Sogang University (Mapo-gu, Seoul), Mirae Asset Center One (Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul), and Doosan Tower (Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province). The new satellite office at Korea University will be added to improve accessibility for members in the northern Seoul area.

It also appears to be aimed at proactively securing future talent by expanding communication with Korea University students. SK Hynix currently operates semiconductor contract departments at Korea University and Sogang University.

Among the existing four satellite offices, the one inside Walkerhill Hotel is expected to cease operations soon. SK Hynix is also expected to consider plans to establish additional satellite offices to further expand work accessibility in the future.
