The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 11th that it will actively promote the implementation of the core policy tasks of 'Cooperative Education Opening the Future' starting this month.
'Cooperative Education Opening the Future' is divided into 16 core policy tasks.
In the 'Opening the Future' section, policy tasks include 'AI and education, university entrance examination system, organizational operation efficiency, and ESG.' It addresses preparing proactively for a rapidly changing and uncertain future and establishing an educational system where students can open their own future.
In the 'Opening' area, key tasks such as 'mental health, climate and ecological transition, future educational spaces, and school meals' are identified, discussing efforts for ‘actively moving Seoul education’ to lead the future proactively.
Regarding 'Cooperation,' it covers 'Seoul Education+Plus, multiculturalism, special education, and innovative education,' aiming to build a growth foundation for ‘mutually interdependent and cooperative Seoul education inside and outside the educational community’ by harmonizing with the local community and transcending school boundaries.
In the 'Education' section, the focus is on 'history education, school arts education, vocational education, and early childhood education,' addressing ‘various school education’ aimed at restoring the happiness of our society and the healthiness of society itself through cooperation rather than competition.
The Office of Education plans to actively promote all implementation processes to students, parents, and citizens, from establishing the implementation plan for core policy tasks to holding discussions, forums, and mid-term and final performance reporting meetings.
Jung Geun-sik, Superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "To proactively open the future, Seoul education will be created together by all educational communities based on borderless cooperation among students, teachers, and parents," and added, "I ask all members of the educational community to continue to show great interest and support for Seoul education to realize cooperative education opening the future."
