A Space for English Learning and Experiential Activities for Residents
Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 10th that the 'Gijang-gun Regional English Center Spring Semester' officially began its operation on the 5th.
The Gijang-gun Regional English Center is a flagship educational program operated by Gijang-gun to improve the local English education environment and foster global talent.
This spring semester at the Regional English Center runs from March 5 to May 30. The county completed the registration process, including new level tests, for students from 2nd grade in elementary school to 3rd grade in middle school, as well as adults, last month.
The Regional English Center operates at a total of five locations: ▲Gijang Education Happiness Town ▲Gijang General Social Welfare Center ▲Jeonggwan-eup Education Happiness Center ▲Wollae Welfare Center ▲Ilgwang Regional English Center. Sixteen outstanding native-speaking instructors have been assigned to provide 100% practical English conversation classes five days a week.
In particular, the monthly tuition fee for the classes is only 40,000 KRW for students and 45,000 KRW for adults, offering practical English education at an affordable price, which has received great response from parents and residents.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, said, "I hope the Regional English Center will become an opportunity for many students and residents to enjoy learning English and grow into global talents with key competencies for the future," adding, "We will actively support the center so that it can become a space for English learning and experiential activities for the residents of Gijang-gun."
