While Myung and his legal team claim to have met with Mayor Oh multiple times, the mayor’s side counters that former Deputy Mayor Kang, who oversaw the campaign operations at the time, and Myung had a major falling out and ended their relationship.

Advisor Lee explained regarding the prosecution appearance of former Deputy Mayor Kang and Special Advisor Park, "We plan to clearly reveal the truth about Myung Tae-gyun’s false claims and demonstrate that the campaign severed ties after confirming Myung’s fraudulent polling methods."
