Selection of Daejeon Hope Talents,
Establishment of Nobel Dream Science Lab, and More
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 10th that it will officially launch the second year of the Daejeon Education Development Special Zone pilot project.
This year, a newly introduced initiative will select approximately five "Daejeon Hope Talents" per vocational high school to foster intermediate-level skilled professionals.
Additionally, as part of the local-linked education and Neulbom project, "local-linked" hub-type Neulbom Centers will be newly supported with cultural and arts programs in densely populated school areas and regions with high demand for Neulbom services.
To operate "Out-of-School Village Learning Centers," the project will utilize human and material resources within the local community to provide educational programs and after-school activities. It will also establish the "Nobel Dream Science Lab," a future-oriented science lab supporting a wide range of science education activities from basic to advanced science classes.
Furthermore, through the operation of "Autonomous Public High School 2.0," autonomous education models reflecting the circumstances of each school and region will be implemented. The Daejeon Career Convergence Education Center, scheduled to open in October, will serve as an "integrated career education platform," offering personalized career education services for students.
Superintendent Seol Dongho stated, "We will do our utmost in the second year of the project to ensure that the Daejeon Education Development Special Zone becomes a successful model for nurturing glocal talents."
