Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Thanks Sinchon Church for Depositing 10 Million Won for Filial Piety Meals

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the Thanksgiving Worship Service and Commemorative Ceremony at Sinchon Church of the Korea Evangelical Holiness Church on the afternoon of March 9, celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding and the completion of the Ire Television Center.

The thanksgiving service, led by Senior Pastor Park No-hoon, was attended by over 400 believers, including the presidents of Seoul Theological University and Yonsei University.

At the subsequent commemorative ceremony, there were praises, a progress report on the construction of the Ire Television Center, a donation ceremony for the Hyo-do Bapsang (Filial Piety Meal Table), and congratulatory remarks by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District.

At this donation ceremony, Sinchon Church donated 10 million won to the Mapo Welfare Foundation to commemorate its 70th anniversary and to convey warm hearts to the elderly in the community.

The 10 million won donated by Sinchon Church on this day will be used for the ‘Resident Participation Hyo-do Bapsang,’ a representative welfare project of Mapo District, to support the elderly.

To provide more warm meals and care to the elderly, Mapo District opened the ‘Hyo-do Bapsang Second Side Dish Factory,’ with an exclusive area of 250.19㎡, on March 7.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “I sincerely thank Sinchon Church for adding warmth to the local community and practicing sharing together,” and added, “We will manage the precious donation well so that it can be used for the happy later years of the elderly.”
