This year, a total of 10 veterans were selected as mentors. Among them, eight, including Koh Hyuncheol, Director of Samyoung ENC, will continue their mentorship from last year. Koo Jongsu (Visiting Professor at Tongmyong University) and Kim Sungkyum (Head of Royan H&F Busan Branch) have been appointed as mentors for the first time this year.
Over the course of one year, the veterans mentors will share their professional know-how with veteran members both online and offline through workshops, special lectures, online mentoring via the website, mentor-mentee meeting events, and published articles. They will help veterans who wish to find employment or start a business after discharge minimize trial and error and transition effectively to new careers.
After receiving their letters of appointment, the mentors discussed ways to actively fulfill their roles throughout the year and submitted their suggestions to the center.
The Veterans Mentoring System is a program that designates successful veterans as mentors by field, so they can share their practical experience and know-how to support the successful reintegration of mid- to long-term service veterans into society. Each year, mentors are selected in four fields: office administration, security, technology, and entrepreneurship.
