Presidential Office "Welcomes President Yoon's Detention Cancellation... Expects Swift Return to Duty"

The Presidential Office expressed its welcome on the court's decision to cancel the arrest of President Yoon Seok-yeol on the 7th.

In a press release that afternoon, the Presidential Office stated, "We welcome the court's decision to cancel the president's arrest," adding, "the Public Corruption Investigation Office, which lacks investigative authority, has belatedly corrected its showy illegal investigation."

It continued, "The Presidential Office, together with the people, looks forward to the president's swift return to duty."

On the same day, the Presidential Office held an emergency senior secretaries meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Jeong Jin-seok to discuss the response direction after President Yoon's release.
