Uijeongbu-si Holds Launch Ceremony for Public-Private Partnership Social Welfare Project Promotion Team

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 7th that it held the launch ceremony of the 'Public-Private Cooperation Social Welfare Contest Project Promotion Team' on the 6th at the city hall's medium conference room, attended by private social welfare workers and public officials.

This promotion team was established to discover local resources and reduce social welfare budgets. In particular, moving away from the 2024 operational method centered on the strategic team (TF) of the Uijeongbu City Community Security Council's planning general division, this year it plans to expand operations to include experts and public officials from various fields. Through this, the promotion team aims to enhance members' sense of belonging and activate systematic sharing of resources and information.

Uijeongbu City plans to actively support the promotion team to ensure smooth participation of the private sector in contest projects through close cooperation. Customized training will be provided to strengthen the capabilities of those in charge, and performance reporting meetings sharing annual achievements and best practices, as well as commendations for outstanding contributors, will be promoted.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "The launch of this promotion team will be an important opportunity for Uijeongbu City to create a better welfare environment and achieve sustainable development," adding, "We will continue to unite public and private efforts to realize 'care for all' where citizens are happy."
