Hwang Myung-gang, a member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council (People Power Party, proportional representation), announced on the 6th that he received a commendation from the Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs for his contributions to supporting the management activities of small and medium-sized enterprises and creating local jobs.
Based on active communication with residents, Councilor Hwang has faithfully fulfilled the fundamental role of a local council member by presenting reasonable policy alternatives and effective improvement measures, thereby contributing to the development of local autonomy.
As a major legislative activity, he took the lead in proposing the "Ordinance on the Formation and Fair Trade of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Franchise Business Transaction Dispute Mediation Council" in January, establishing an institutional foundation to ensure fair trade order in franchise businesses within the province. With the unique delicacy of a woman, he is also passionate about enacting autonomous regulations to foster female leaders and enhance children's rights.
Along with the enactment of ordinances, he was selected last year as the recipient of the "Korean Person Who Shined This Year" award in the local government category, hosted by the Korea Journalists Association, in recognition of his extensive legislative activities.
Councilor Hwang stated, "I will devote all my efforts to finding solutions to local issues through continuous communication with residents," and added, "I will focus on providing various policy supports and solutions to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises."
