Opening Rate Increased by 54% and Error Rate Reduced
Gwangju Office of Education received the highest grade, "Excellent," in the 2024 Public Data Provision and Operation Assessment.
According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 6th, this assessment is conducted annually by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, evaluating the public data management status of 679 organizations, including central government agencies, local governments, and public institutions.
The city office of education achieved perfect scores in six indicators, including the establishment and implementation rate of public data opening plans, compliance with data provision cycles, and quality management. The overall score was 93.91 points, the highest among all metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide.
Furthermore, last year, a large number of new public datasets were identified and released, increasing the opening rate by 54% compared to the previous year. To improve the quality of public data, self-diagnosis and inspections were conducted, reducing the data value error rate from 0.11% to 0.08%.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon said, "We will continue to identify and release public data that can be freely utilized by the public," and added, "We will also actively work to create socio-economic added value through the use of public data."
