Haenam County Recruiting Tenants for 10,000 Won 'Vacant House Regeneration Project'

After Remodeling, Five Households Including Return-to-Farm and Return-to-Village Residents to Move In

Haenam County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Myung Hyun-gwan) announced on the 5th that it is recruiting tenants for its 'Vacant House Regeneration Project'.

The Haenam-style Vacant House Regeneration Project is a program that provides residential space to newcomers wishing to settle in Haenam by remodeling vacant houses.

Haenam County signs a free usage contract directly with the vacant house owner, invests up to 50 million KRW for remodeling, and then rents the property to return-to-farm/return-to-village residents, young people, retirees, or others wishing to move into the county for a monthly rent of 10,000 KRW.

Eligible applicants are those who have maintained resident registration and continuously lived in a region other than Haenam for at least one year and wish to move to and settle in Haenam County. Through a first-round document review and a second-round interview, the county will comprehensively assess settlement motivation and plans, and select a final total of five households.

Applicants may choose one property (vacant house) among the project targets to apply for. Remodeling work will be carried out on houses with rental demand, and final move-in is scheduled for the end of December.

The county expects that this demand-oriented remodeling project will help newcomers settle stably and effectively utilize vacant houses within the area.

Prospective tenants wishing to move in must submit the application form and required documents by mail or in person to the Haenam County Rural Development Promotion Team by the 21st.
