Shinsegae Centum City unveiled its spring display in March, creating a shopping environment that delights both the eyes and ears.
Under the theme of ‘Blooming Playlist,’ the display features pink and coral-colored peonies as the main attraction, allowing visitors to feel the arrival of spring throughout the department store, while also offering the pleasure of listening to classical music that complements the season.
First, above the cosmetics section on the first floor, a moving ‘Giant Peony’ captures customers’ attention with its lively appearance. This kinetic art piece depicts the flower bud petals repeatedly blooming fully, signaling the start of spring.
Next, at the main display area?the entrance to the Hyper Space on basement level 2?a large media facade measuring 12 meters wide and 5 meters high welcomes customers with spring flower visuals.
The main stage, Hyper Space, is designed as a photo zone with the enchanting and romantic concept of a ‘Spring Garden.’ Utilizing the spacious area and ceiling height, the space is decorated to create the effect of 130,000 pink hanging flowers cascading from the ceiling, evoking an atmosphere akin to an art museum rather than a department store.
Additionally, throughout the store, 30 classical music pieces selected by Shinsegae, including Voices of Spring and Appalachian Spring, fill the air, allowing customers to fully enjoy spring while shopping.
Furthermore, a spring mini concert will be presented.
On the 11th, at the 9th-floor Culture Hall, the ‘Spring Classic Concert’ will feature pianist Choi Young-min and three vocalists, promising an experience full of emotion and enjoyment.
The display, which began on the 5th, will be available for viewing until the 24th of next month.
Gil Junho, Head of Sales Planning at Shinsegae Centum City, said, “Just two months ago, we enhanced customer satisfaction with our Christmas display, and now we have transformed the space into a new spring-themed environment suited to the changing season. Moving forward, we plan to offer customers enjoyment beyond shopping through sophisticated displays with distinctive seasonal themes.”
