Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do is implementing various policies to provide tourists with a pleasant environment.

According to Yeonggwang-gun on the 5th, the county signed a business agreement with a waste collection and transport company (Eden Mihwasa) on the 28th of last month to carry out intensive pest control at 50 vulnerable restrooms near parks and tourist attractions from this month until October.

Through this agreement, the waste collection and transport company will use eco-friendly larvicide products provided by the public health center when regularly collecting waste from septic tanks in vulnerable areas, aiming to fundamentally block the occurrence of pests. This is expected to not only prevent infectious diseases in advance but also reduce costs.

An official from the Yeonggwang-gun Public Health Center said, "This agreement is an important project that goes beyond simple pest control to provide a more pleasant environment for tourists and local residents," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create clean tourist destinations through public-private cooperation."

Meanwhile, the Yeonggwang-gun Public Health Center plans to focus on protecting residents' health by eliminating pest habitats in advance through this project.
