Strengthening Education for Solving Social Problems with Technology
Gachon University Startup College announced on the 6th that it will open a 'Tech for Impact' class starting from the second semester of this year in collaboration with Kakao Impact, Kakao's corporate foundation.
Gachon University signed a business agreement for the 'Tech for Impact Campus' with Kakao Impact at Kakao Pangyo Ajit on the 19th of last month and is taking a commemorative photo. This class is a practice-oriented course that provides students with hands-on experience in planning and developing technology-based solutions. It is worth 3 credits and is operated by organizing teams of 6 students each.
Students will cultivate their abilities to solve social problems, develop AI-based solutions, and enhance teamwork and communication skills.
This class was operated at KAIST from 2023 to 2024, at Yonsei University and Hanyang University in the first semester of this year, and will be operated at Gachon University and KAIST in the second semester.
To this end, Gachon University signed a business agreement with Kakao Impact on the 19th of last month regarding the operation of the 'Tech for Impact Campus.'
Kakao Impact, established in 2018, is Kakao's corporate foundation that engages in activities to solve various social problems through technology and platforms.
Jang Dae-ik, dean of Gachon University Startup College, said, "We hope that through the collaborative class with Kakao Impact, students will have an opportunity to grow into global leaders who create social value."
