Customized Programs for "Job-Abandoning Youth"
Allowance and Employment Incentives Ranging from 500,000 to 3 Million KRW
Damyang County in Jeonnam has been selected for the "2025 Youth Challenge Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and will support the social reintegration of young people who have given up on job seeking.
According to the county on the 5th, the Youth Challenge Support Project aims to boost the motivation for employment and support job seeking by providing tailored programs to young people who have not participated in employment, entrepreneurship, education, or vocational training for more than six months.
Participants will be recruited starting mid-month, and from April, various educational programs such as psychological counseling, job competency enhancement training, job training, and mentoring programs will be offered to young people in three formats: a 5-week short-term, 15-week mid-term, and 25-week long-term course.
Participants will receive allowances and employment incentives according to the duration of the program: up to 3 million KRW for long-term, 2 million KRW for mid-term, and 500,000 KRW for short-term participation.
A county official stated, "Through the Youth Challenge Support Project, we will actively support young people in finding stable jobs and becoming self-reliant members of society," and added, "We look forward to the interest and participation of many young people."
