Gwangju Shinsegae Attracts Attention with New Children's Brand Launch

Wynken, I Love J, and Aram Books Now Open

Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghoon) is drawing attention by introducing trendy new children's brands for kids.

On the 5th, Gwangju Shinsegae announced that it has completed a renovation of the children's section on the 6th floor of the main building, bringing in new brands.

Making its debut as an exclusive store, 'Wynken' is a British brand known as a contemporary label that offers a free-spirited, comfortable vibe with modern and creative designs.

Since its launch in 2014, Wynken has gained popularity for its unique color expression and combinations. To celebrate the opening, Wynken is giving away sunglasses to customers who make purchases over 300,000 KRW, on a first-come, first-served basis.

'I Love J' began as an online shopping mall brand in 2012 and now operates 91 stores nationwide, including in department stores. Recognized for its self-designed and produced everyday items, this Korean brand has expanded to overseas markets such as Japan and China.

I Love J is offering a Peanuts towel blanket as a gift for purchases over 150,000 KRW during its opening promotion.

The addition of 'Aram Books', catering to family customers, is also notable. Aram Books is a children's publisher that offers picture books tailored to the growth and development of infants and toddlers. The store on the 6th floor of the main building features a space where children can choose and read books themselves, providing a relaxing spot that has been well received by customers.

In addition to the main building, the Place Spot (formerly the new building) is introducing 'Stepcare', a curated children's shoe store. Stepcare offers a variety of imported children's shoe brands such as 'Bogs', 'Tip Toey Joey', 'Melline', as well as 'Dinokings', 'Pepeshoes', and 'Narachan', all in one place.

Alongside this, 'DL Friends', a beauty and art experience class space for children, is launching a new package and holding events. DL Friends operates a variety of hands-on cultural activity programs for MZ generation parents who want to give their children special experiences.

Until the 31st, DL Friends will offer a package program where customers can enjoy both slime and art classes for a more comfortable shopping experience.

DL Friends is also introducing a new dress rental package, previously only available for in-store wear, allowing children to create precious memories. The new package rental voucher is valid for three days and two nights, allowing children to wear the dresses in daily life before returning them to the store.

DL Friends is also running a promotion where customers who write a receipt review after an experience or product purchase will receive a gift.

Lee Donghoon, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae, said, "Since many of our customers are families, we have brought in a variety of brands and are running promotions for children. We hope that children will create special memories through unique experiences at Gwangju Shinsegae, and that parents can also take a moment to relax."
