Hanam City Selected as an Excellent Institution for Four Consecutive Years
in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Data-Based Administration Assessment
Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 5th that it received the highest grade of "Excellent" in the '2024 Data-Based Administration Status Inspection' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, marking its selection as an excellent institution for four consecutive years since 2021.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety has been announcing the results of status inspections since 2021 to check the operation status of data administration and reflect policy improvements in accordance with the 'Act on the Promotion of Data-Based Administration.'
This year's evaluation was conducted on 679 institutions, including central administrative agencies, metropolitan and basic local governments, and public institutions, and grades of Excellent, Average, and Poor were assigned based on three areas?data analysis and utilization, data sharing, and management system?and 10 indicators.
Hanam City received high marks for fostering a data-based administrative culture capable of analyzing and utilizing data, such as hosting idea contests and conducting data competency enhancement training.
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam City said, “Receiving the Excellent grade for four consecutive years is proof that Hanam City's data-based administrative capabilities are continuously developing,” and added, “We will actively promote scientific policy formulation and decision-making to realize smart administration that citizens can feel.”
