Gachon University Startup College is collaborating with Kakao Impact, Kakao's corporate foundation, to launch the 'Tech for Impact' course starting from the second semester of this year.
This course is a practice-oriented program that provides students with hands-on experience in planning and developing technology-based solutions. It is a 3-credit course, organized into teams of six students each.
Students will develop competencies in solving social issues, AI-based solution development, teamwork, and communication skills.

The course has been offered at KAIST from 2023 to 2024, and in the first semester of this year, it was held at Yonsei University and Hanyang University. In the second semester, it will be operated at Gachon University and KAIST.
To this end, Gachon University signed a memorandum of understanding with Kakao Impact on the 19th of last month regarding the operation of the 'Tech for Impact Campus.'
Kakao Impact, established in 2018, is Kakao's corporate foundation that engages in activities to solve various social problems through technology and platforms.
Jang Dae-ik, Dean of Gachon University Startup College, stated, "We hope that through the collaborative course with Kakao Impact, students will have the opportunity to grow into global leaders who create social value."
