Gyeonggi-do Supports 'Repair Construction Design Documents' for 40 Apartment Complexes

Gyeonggi Province will continue this year to promote the ‘Apartment Technical Advisory Group’ design document support project, which assists complexes undertaking repair work on common areas of apartment buildings by providing construction statements and specifications.

Gyeonggi Province offers the ‘Gyeonggi-type Comprehensive Support Service Tailored to the Apartment Lifecycle,’ a management policy for apartments that provides timely services needed for housing from start to finish, divided into ▲construction and completion ▲operation and management ▲maintenance and repair stages.

Among these, the Gyeonggi Apartment Technical Advisory in the maintenance and repair stage involves private experts from the Apartment Technical Advisory Group, composed of 100 members across 10 fields, who visit apartment complexes directly to provide technical support.

The support areas include technical advice during the construction planning stage, design document support providing construction statements and specifications, and construction advice to ensure quality during the repair process, covering the entire repair work process.

The second stage of Gyeonggi Apartment Technical Advisory, the design document support service, is uniquely provided only by Gyeonggi Province among local governments nationwide, and this year it plans to offer the service to 40 complexes through a business consignment contract with Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation.

This project involves preparing construction statements and specifications based on the results of the first-stage technical advice by private experts, which can be used as reference materials for estimating construction costs when promoting apartment repair work.

Hong Il-young, head of the Gyeonggi Apartment Division, stated, "We systematically support the entire repair process requiring maintenance such as leaks and paint peeling, from technical advice to design documents and construction advice," adding, "We will support ensuring that residents’ valuable maintenance fees are not wasted and that optimal construction quality is secured."
