Jeju Special Self-Governing Province appointed Bae Taemi, a senior official, as the new Director of the Jeju Veterans Affairs Office as of March 1.
This personnel appointment was carried out as part of a planned personnel exchange between Jeju Province and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. The planned personnel exchange between the two organizations has been continuously promoted since the launch of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province in 2006.
The new director, Bae Taemi, previously served as Director of the Veterans Records Management Division at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and as Director of the National Sancheong Memorial Park. The personnel exchange period will last for one year, until February 28, 2026.
On this day, Governor Oh Younghoon presented the letter of appointment to Bae Taemi, the new Director of the Jeju Veterans Affairs Office, in his office.
Jeju Province expects that Director Bae Taemi, based on her extensive practical experience accumulated at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, will invigorate the implementation of key veterans policies, such as strengthening welfare support for over 12,000 national merit recipients and veterans' families in the province and promoting veterans culture.
