Up to 300 Million KRW for Farmers and 500 Million KRW for Agricultural Corporations in Facility Funds
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 3rd that it will recruit candidates for the 2025 Gyeonggi-do Agricultural and Rural Development Fund Loan Support Project from the 10th to the 28th to help stabilize the management of local farmers and fishermen.
This project is a low-interest loan support program for the management and facility improvement of agriculture and fisheries, and farmers and fishermen who have been engaged in horticulture, special crops, fruit farming, paddy farming, livestock farming, etc. for more than one year at a business site located in Yangju City can apply.
The support types are divided into two categories: agricultural and fishery management funds and agricultural and fishery facility funds.
The agricultural and fishery management funds support expenses necessary for operating farming and livestock businesses. Farmers can apply for up to 60 million KRW, and agricultural corporations can apply for up to 200 million KRW. The interest rate is 1% per annum, with a lump-sum repayment due two years from the loan date.
The agricultural and fishery facility funds are for purchasing farmland, modernizing and automating facilities, and installing structures to establish a farming foundation. Farmers can apply for up to 300 million KRW, and agricultural corporations can apply for up to 500 million KRW. The interest rate is 1% per annum. The repayment method for farmers is equal installments over five years after a three-year grace period, and for agricultural corporations, equal installments with a two-year maturity. A Yangju City official stated, “Even if selected as a project beneficiary, loans may be restricted depending on individual credit ratings and collateral capabilities,” and added, “We plan to actively guide and support many farmers to receive assistance.”
