Logo and Package Design Changed Last Year
Winner of the Main Prize in the 'Communication' Category
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 28th that its global food brand Bibigo won the main prize at the German 'iF Design Award 2025.'
CJ CheilJedang explained, "Bibigo was selected for the main prize in the 'Communication' category, highly evaluated for delivering a consistent brand image to global consumers with its new brand VI (Visual Identity), including the newly revamped logo and product package design launched last February."
Bibigo's new oval logo is characterized by its representation of 'passion for Korean cuisine and the connection among people sharing it' through the image of a dining table. It departs from the previous logo shaped like a stone pot used for bibimbap, embodying the intention to expand the scope of K-food into the global market. Additionally, unlike before when only English was displayed, Hangul was included to emphasize that it is a Korean brand.
The 'iF Design Award' is considered one of the world's top three design awards alongside Germany's 'Red Dot Design Award' and the United States' 'IDEA.' It selects winners by evaluating distinctiveness and impact across a total of nine categories, including product, packaging, communication, user experience (UX), interface (UI), and concept.
