Financial Authorities: "Further Testing Still Needed"
All Fintech Companies to Launch Simultaneously in March
The launch of the car insurance comparison and recommendation service 2.0, which was highly anticipated for the 27th, has been delayed beyond the original schedule.
A financial regulatory official stated on the day, "The car insurance comparison and recommendation service 2.0 will be released sometime in March," adding, "There are still parts that need to be tested."
Initially, some large and medium-sized fintech companies planned to unveil the car insurance comparison and recommendation service 2.0 on this day. They had internally completed system testing and finished commission negotiations with the Big 4 non-life insurance companies (Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, DB Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, and KB Insurance).
However, it is understood that the launch was postponed due to additional requests to further enhance the service just before release. A fintech industry insider explained, "The launch schedule was delayed to advance the service, such as insurance companies needing to additionally reflect special terms like public transportation or step count discounts in the fintech platforms." The financial regulatory official said, "All fintech companies will open the service simultaneously in March."
