Yoo Jong-pil, Former Gwanak-gu Mayor, Appointed as the 6th President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development

"We Will Complete the Government's Startup Policies"

The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development announced on the 27th that Yoo Jong-pil, former mayor of Gwanak District, will take office as the 6th president.

The institute plans to hold the inauguration ceremony for the 6th president at its headquarters in Sejong the following day.


At the inauguration, President Yoo is expected to say, "I feel a heavy responsibility and a strong sense of mission to lead the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, which represents startups as the driving force of innovation and job creation. Through a relaunch as a field-oriented policy execution agency, we will complete the government's startup policies."


President Yoo served as a secretary at the Presidential Office, director of the National Assembly Library, and was mayor of Seoul's Gwanak District from 2010 to 2018.
