Goheung County Promotes Space Industry at Busan Drone Show Korea

Goheung County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 27th that it is participating in the '2025 Busan Drone Show Korea' held at BEXCO in Busan for three days starting from the 26th, promoting Goheung's space industry as well as its drone and UAM industry infrastructure.

At this exhibition, Goheung County is being widely promoted to visitors and industry professionals as Korea's representative aerospace industry hub.

In particular, Goheung is focusing on introducing its 'aerospace infrastructure,' including the space launch vehicle industry cluster, as well as the nation's largest drone flight test airspace with a diameter of 22 kilometers and the Goheung Drone Center, all as part of its 'drone and UAM industry infrastructure,' while also striving to attract investment from domestic companies.

Additionally, a dedicated space was set up to exhibit and promote drone models from four companies, including Marine Robotics and Geumsan, providing resident companies of the Goheung Drone Center with the opportunity to showcase their products and technological capabilities.

Park Junghyun, head of the Aerospace Promotion Division, stated, "Through this participation, we will actively promote Goheung so that it can grow into a global hub for the drone industry beyond Korea, and we will use this as an opportunity to build cooperative networks with domestic companies," adding, "We will further strengthen Goheung County's status as Korea's aerospace capital."

Meanwhile, the '2025 Busan Drone Show Korea' is the largest drone exhibition in Asia. Starting this year, the exhibition has expanded its scope to include the space industry, and it serves as an event where domestic and international companies, research institutes, and government officials share the latest technologies and industry trends.
