Leap Forward as a Global Education City
BS Group has attracted a prestigious American private school to 'Solarisdo,' a large-scale eco-friendly future city being developed in collaboration with Jeollanam-do and Haenam-gun. With the establishment of an international school gaining momentum, Solarisdo is laying the foundation to leap forward as a global education city, in addition to its focus on eco-friendliness and technology. In line with this, BS Group is also considering launching a new housing brand specialized in the Solarisdo housing product concept. An increase in residential demand, rise in real estate value, and investment attraction effects are also expected.
On the 27th, BS Group announced that it recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for attracting foreign educational institutions to Solarisdo at the RCS Media Center in Redlands, California, together with Jeollanam-do, Haenam-gun, and Redlands Christian School (RCS) from the United States. RCS, a prestigious private school with a 100-year tradition, operates middle and high school curricula. Through this agreement, they will cooperate in establishing and operating an international school within Solarisdo.
With this agreement, Solarisdo is expected to establish itself as an education-specialized residential area equipped with an international-level educational environment. In addition to the agreement with RCS, BS Group plans to attract more domestic and international private schools, developing Solarisdo into a global education city comparable to Incheon Songdo International City and Jeju English Education City.
BS Group stated, "With the international school establishment gaining momentum, the development of the Solarisdo residential complex will also accelerate." BS Group is preparing to launch about 1,200 housing units in the second half of this year and is considering introducing a new housing brand separate from the existing BS Hanyang housing brand 'Sujain.' In the long term, they plan to create a large-scale residential town including a complex resort-type residential complex with about 4,200 housing units.
The Solarisdo residential complex aims to differentiate itself with a 'wellness life' concept that combines leisure, relaxation, and global education. BS Group plans to actively reflect market demand by conducting a preliminary demand survey in the first half of the year.
A BS Group official said, "Solarisdo is equipped with leisure and relaxation infrastructure such as 'Sani Garden,' Jeollanam-do's first garden-style botanical garden opened in May last year, and Solarisdo Country Club," adding, "With the attraction of the international school, competitiveness as an education-specialized residential area is strengthened, and interest in housing sales in the second half of the year is increasing."
He continued, "Since RCS is a prestigious American private school, it will not only enhance the educational satisfaction of Solarisdo residents but also promote the influx of external population, contributing to urban revitalization."

Meanwhile, Solarisdo, being developed in the areas of Samho-eup, Yeongam-gun, and Sanim-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is a large-scale eco-friendly future city on a site of approximately 20.9 million square meters (6.32 million pyeong). It is being developed as an eco-friendly city where nature and advanced information and communication (IT) technology harmonize, aiming to be a ▲renewable energy city ▲smart city ▲garden city ▲wellness city.
Solarisdo is currently hosting about ten government-funded projects, including a smart city development project and a carbon-neutral Edu Center. Additionally, the planned AI Data Center Park, which will be built based on abundant renewable energy, has been designated as a government opportunity development zone, attracting attention as a candidate site for AI data centers by global companies both domestic and abroad.
