Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) and Incheon City are recruiting about 40 participating companies for the 'Small and Medium Business Design Development Support Project' until the 18th of next month.
This project supports design development in four areas: product, visual, packaging, and multimedia, to strengthen the design competitiveness of small and medium enterprises and differentiate their products. This recruitment announcement for the first half of the year is conducted on a scale of 40 general companies.
Selected companies can receive support for up to 80% of the design development costs. The support limits by category are up to 18 million KRW for product design, 10 million KRW for visual and packaging design, and 12 million KRW for multimedia.
The eligible applicants are small and medium enterprises headquartered in Incheon, and they must apply by forming a consortium with a lead organization (design specialized company) registered on the Incheon Design Support Center website. In particular, participating with a lead organization based in the Incheon area will receive additional points in the selection evaluation.
An Incheon TP official stated, "For the multimedia promotional video category this year, the support limit has been increased by 20% compared to last year, considering the actual production costs for smooth project execution," and added, "We hope many small and medium enterprises aiming to enhance product competitiveness through design development will show interest."
Meanwhile, Incheon TP has been promoting this project since 2004, and last year alone supported design development for 121 small and medium enterprises. In the past two years, 241 participating companies achieved results such as an increase in sales of 4.2 billion KRW and 147 new jobs.
