Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, opened a farm machinery rental service center in Unsu-myeon to provide administrative services for farm machinery rental and facilitate farming convenience, holding an opening ceremony on the 26th.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 150 people, including County Governor Lee Nam-cheol, the chairman and vice chairman of the Goryeong County Council, provincial and county council members, heads and directors of the Nonghyup, and agricultural-related organizations.

The Unsu-Deokgok branch was established with a total project cost of 2.52 billion KRW on an area of 2,990㎡, including a storage warehouse of 825㎡ and an office of 150㎡, and purchased 80 units of 29 types of farm machinery.
The Goryeong-gun Farm Machinery Rental Service Center has expanded regionally since starting with the Goryeong branch in 2009, including Seongsan, Gaejin, Dasan, and Ugok. Including the newly opened Unsu-Deokgok branch this year, a total of six branches will be operated. The entire rental fleet consists of 909 units of 72 types of farm machinery.
Governor Lee Nam-cheol said, “As part of the efforts to realize a smart and prosperous rural area, a pledge of the 8th elected administration, I hope that the opening of the Unsu-Deokgok branch of the farm machinery rental service center will provide practical help to local farmers,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the development and revitalization of local agriculture.”
